Safety

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the e-tron GT. But it costs extra on the Taycan.

Both the e-tron GT and the Taycan have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras and rear cross-path warning.

Warranty

There are over 54 percent more Audi dealers than there are Porsche dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the e-tron GT’s warranty.

The e-tron GT has more powerful engines than the Taycan:

The e-tron GT can travel longer on a full charge than the Taycan Sedan on a full charge:

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the e-tron GT has larger standard tires than the Taycan (F:245/45R20 & R:285/40R20 vs. F:225/55R19 & R:275/45R19).

The e-tron GT’s standard 245/45R20 front and 285/40R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Taycan’s standard 55 series front and 45 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the e-tron GT has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Taycan.

Suspension and Handling

The RS e-tron GT performance handles at .93 G’s, while the Taycan pulls only .89 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The RS e-tron GT performance executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the Taycan (24.1 seconds @ .85 average G’s vs. 25 seconds @ .76 average G’s).

Chassis

For excellent aerodynamics, the e-tron GT has standard flush composite headlights. The Taycan has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

Passenger Space

The e-tron GT has .1 inches more front legroom and .6 inches more rear shoulder room than the Taycan.

Ergonomics

If the windows are left open on the e-tron GT the driver can close them all at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Taycan can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

Laser headlights, standard on the e-tron GT Prestige/RS, produce their light by firing blue lasers through phosphorus, a process that uses one-half the power of the Taycan’s LED headlights. Laser headlights can have double the range of LEDs with a much smaller surface area.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the e-tron GT has standard extendable sun visors. The Taycan doesn’t offer extendable visors.
